7th Annual “Shop Small®” Holiday Retail Tour: Putnam County Business Council Brings Good Tidings to Local Businesses

It’s a wrap! The PCBC’s cross-county holiday retail promotion was both a success and an exceptional experience of connection, community, and support for our local merchants. Timed around Small Business Saturday, the tour featured 14 retailers over three days — plus a few restaurant stops for refueling!

“The secret to success for retailers this holiday season is a safe shopping experience and increased visibility to ensure the extended Putnam community knows who they are, where they are and what they offer,” said PCBC Chairwoman Jennifer Maher. “Our retail promotion aims to jumpstart the holiday season and get people thinking about how they can shop local before they hit the Amazon buy button. Together we can be the heroes of our own local economy.”
In order to drive shoppers to Shop Small® beyond the holidays and into the winter season, the PCBC and its sponsors are investing in local advertising and digital marketing to spotlight Putnam small businesses and promote the impact they have on the community.
