NY Forward Guidance for Personal Care Amended to Permit Services that Require a Customer to Remove their Face Covering
p
New York State has released updated guidelines for personal care services that require clients to remove their face mask, such as facials, makeup, waxing or piercing services. Under the amended guidance, these services are allowed to resume if the employee wears a face shield in addition to their face mask. Workers must also get tested for COVID-19 and receive a negative result dated September 3rd or later. Business in the personal care field are required to read and adhere to all the updated requirements.
