Christopher X. Maher, Esq., Member Spotlight

Director Level Member Christopher X. Maher, Esq., has been practicing law in Putnam County, New York City, and the Hudson Valley region for 35 years. The Maher family, starting with Chris’ father, Richard Maher, Esq., in 1953, has built a legacy based upon protecting and fostering the community’s confidence in the administration of justice.

A Carmel native and resident, Chris specializes in Personal Injury and Criminal Law. He was admitted to the Federal Court Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Putnam and Dutchess County Bar Associations in 1986. Chris has also been a member of both the NYS Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and NYS Trial Lawyers Association for more than 20 years.

The Law Office of Christopher X. Maher is an active member of the Putnam County Business Council and a stakeholder in the economic well-being of our community. The firm recently sponsored the PCBC’s Pre-Holiday Restaurant Rally in support of Putnam restaurants struggling to stay open through the pandemic.
