Executive Member Schech’s Pool Spa Patio, located in Brewster, is Putnam County’s oldest pool store. Fifty plus years since her father and builder Herb Schech founded the company in 1969, owner Barbara Schech Freer has transformed the company from building pools into helping customers create a beautiful and healthy outdoor lifestyle.

We have retail experts and pool service technicians ready to maintain and expand your backyard retreat. We no longer install pools, but we are here for all your pool maintenance and patio needs!

Schech’s Pool Spa Patio services include pool openings and closings, weekly pool maintenance, hot tub valet service, salt pool equipment installation, small pool repairs, and pool equipment installation (pumps, filters, heaters).

An active supporter of the community, Schech’s has sponsored numerous non-profits and civic events over the years, including the Putnam Heart Walk, 4-H Fair, Mahopac-Carmel Chamber Spring Fair, and most recently, the Putnam County Business Council’s Pre-Holiday Restaurant Rally to help our struggling local eateries through the challenges of the COVID pandemic.
