Elected officials in Washington will be voting TODAY on a new measure that would devote another $310 billion to the Paycheck Protection Program, an initiative created by last month’s Cares Act. Initially funded $349 billion, the money has since run dry. The U.S. Small Business Administration stopped accepting loan applications for the program last week after 1.6 million firms obtained taxpayer-backed, forgivable loans.
