Join ASAE Sign-On Letter – Deadline Extended

I appreciate your time and patience through multiple reminders about ASAE’s new community sign-on letter. I wanted to let you know the deadline to join is extended to Friday, September 25. Please find the sign-up form below.

The letter, which calls for 501(c)(6) access to the Paycheck Protection Program, and our most recent Advocacy Alert are attached.

We need your help. The situation in Congress for another COVID-19 relief package is fluid. And, while there is certainly more than a zero-percent chance a deal will be made, we still think it’s improbable at this point that a deal will happen before the end of September or even the elections in November. Regardless of timing, we need the biggest number of signatories we can muster to keep this issue top-of-mind for Congress.

So, our plan is to send the attached letter to Congress at the end of September just before legislators reembark on the campaign trail. This will help remind them about this critical issue when they face voters.

 Families First Coronavirus Response Act

The U.S. Department of Labor has released new guidelines regarding the Families First Coronavirus Response Act following a ruling from a federal judge. The guidelines specifically clarifies what is considered intermittent leave in regards to school closures.
